Stromboli has been manufactured with Selective Laser Melting (SLM) technology, popularly known as 3D titanium powder printing technology, and comes in a wide variety of dimensions to support an optimal fit following the patient’s natural anatomy and supporting restoration balance.

The surgical technique supports a unique, differentiating tissue protection device that is included in the instruments set. This device protects the soft tissue during disc preparation, sizing and implant positioning. It replaces traditional tissue retractors and because the soft tissue folds around the device, potential tissue damage is maximally limited. Due to the absence of (long lasting) traction on muscle and nerve structures as seen when using traditional retractors, also post operative pain is maximally diminished. When using this unique tissue protection device, a 360° lumbar fusion procedure can be performed without turning the patient, positioned in prone position.
